Jodie Asselin

Jodie Asselin is an associate professor of Anthropology at the University of Lethbridge. She has a background in human geography and cultural anthropology, with a PhD from the University of Alberta where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of family medicine. Her area of research is in environmental anthropology, focusing on rural/urban relations, place, policy, land use planning, and political ecology. Much of Jodie’s research examines the intersection of rural livelihood and green policy, specifically focusing on the political and cultural role of forests in climate mitigation projects.
